Relief!

It was so much cooler today, stepping outside felt wonderful.... breezy, airy, cool, just - wonderful!! Want to know how much it dropped? Oh, yeah, baby. 98°.

After work I drove east on Huntington until I realized that I was trying to go to East LA, and that even if the name includes the word "east" I should actually be going west, because I live east of East LA, and therefore would have to go west to get there. See how well I know my city! So yeah, after a quarter tank of gas (DAMN) and an extra 45 minutes driving, I at last made it to the promised land: Dolores Mission, workplace of my friend Marisa, and the place I'll be volunteering in a week! It looks like a blast, the kids are adorable, and, of course, I'm the whitest person there. But I didn't feel at all out of place - everyone was totally cool, and everything so laid back that I can't wait to start work next week. Counting down!
